This documentary film tells the story of Mossville, Louisiana; a once thriving, historically black community that has been taken over by more than 14 petrochemical plants. It follows one of the last remaining residents of the community, Stacey Ryan, and his fight to hold onto his families home. The film exposes the links between race and environmental injustice not just in the United States but around the world. It is set to debut at the 2019 Full Frame Documentary Film Festival.
Catchfire Productions was hired as a camera operator for Mossville: When Great Trees Fall from 2016 to 2018. Catchfire also recorded all live audio for the film.
